NOT POSTING WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

The Tartan Cup Matches at Tartan Fields Golf Club will be one of the most anticipated events of the 2025 golf season. Two 12-man teams are formed, comprised of the top finishers from a season - long point accumulation list. All Club Members who have joined the Men’s Golf Association are eligible for this event. Players will earn points based on their participation and finishing position in the various Tartan Cup Points Events which include:

Men’s Twilights                                    May 8th – August, 28th

Match Play                                          May 10th – August 31st

Men’s Invitational                                June 18th – June 21st

Stroke Play Champ                              July 12th – July 13th

Member–Member                                July 17th-Sat. July 19th

Tartan Classic                                     August, August 8th

Old Pal                                               August 31st

Season Long Shootout                         September 12th

Higher Tartan Cup points are awarded for the five Club Marquee and Premiere events. The top 2 individuals on the points list at the end of the season will be designated as captains for the two Ryder Cup teams. A “Team Draft” will be conducted with the golf professionals and the team captains prior to the dinner on September 25th. The captains will each alternately select 10 of the next top 20 finishers from the points list (for those who elect to participate) and add a captain’s pick to form the two teams of 12 that will compete. If any of the top 22 finishers are unable to participate, the first alternate will be the 2025 Stroke Play Champion and the second alternate will be the 2025 Match Play Champion if they are not already included in the top 22. After that, the captains will pick alternately starting with the 23rd person on the points list until the teams are filled. At the dinner, the teams will be announced, and each team will individually prepare a list of who will be partners and the order in which they will tee-off. The lists from each of the teams are combined to determine the pairings for the event.

FORMAT: One day, 27-hole team event; (6) foursomes – determined at the Pairings Dinner 24 Possible Points – The team scoring 12½ points or more wins 9 holes – (6) 2 man better-ball matches – 1 point each 9 holes – (6) 2 man modified alternate shot matches – 1 point each 9 holes – (12) Singles matches – 1 Point each

TIE:  The play off will take place on Hole #10. Each team will pick two players and play Modified Alternate shot until a winner is determined

ENTRY FEE: Included as part of the paid MGA fee Tartan Cup Pairings Dinner and team clothing, selected by team captains, included.

AWARDS: The winning team will be the Tartan Fields Ryder Cup team for the following calendar year and challenge another club to a Home & Away Ryder Cup Style Event the following season.
